of this week. This story is an example
of Expository Nonfiction where the stoy gives facts and information. Our skill
focus is “Compare and Contrast”. When
you compare and contrast two or more things you tell how they are the same and
different. You can listen to our story
by clicking on the following link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30012488/READING%20STORIES/UNIT%203%20STORIES/Reading%20Street%20Disc%209/03%20Volcanoes_%20Nature%27s%20Incredible%20Fireworks%20%28Expository%20Nonfiction%29.wma
**Spelling
– We will be testing Unit 3 Spelling list words on Friday 3/14. A list of words to study will be placed in
our Red Reading folders.
**Grammar –Irregular
verbs continue to be our focus in Grammar this week. Usually you add -ed to
a verb to show action in the past. We will have a test on Wednesday 3/12/14. Irregular
verbs do not follow this rule. Instead of ending in -ed to show past
time, these verbs change to other words. When have, has, or had comes
before these verbs, a third form of the word is used.
I go. They went. He has gone.
