Get ready for your DEBUT as brand new Third Graders!

 *Back to school forms should be returned by September 2nd.

**Monday, August 25th:  Today is the first day for students!! We will be reviewing our classroom procedures and expectations, as well the new NS District Behavior Plan.  There will be no homework for today, however please make sure to return the forms that were in the Friday Folder – all forms due by Sept. 2^nd

 **Tuesday, August 26th:  We hope your child had a great first day!! Today we will continue reviewing the classroom procedures/expectations/and behavior plan.  We will begin Baseline testing to determine your child's strengths are in Reading and Math.  There will be not be homework for today, however please make sure to return the forms that were in the Friday Folder if you haven't already – all forms due back by Sept. 2nd

 **Wednesday, August 27th:  We will continue with the Baseline testing for Reading and Math (remember these will not receive a grade and will only be used to determine your child’s strengths).

 **Thursday, August 28th:  Today we will begin our new Spelling list on short vowel sounds (VC/CV patterns), Grammar lesson on Subjects and Predicates, Reading story “Charlie McButton”, and Math Chapter 1 Topic Opener.  It is an exciting day, as we begin getting into a routine schedule! Click on the link below to listen to our new story:

*Tomorrow we will have a District Wide Pep Rally. Show your SPARTAN PRIDE and SPIRIT by wearing Spartan wear.

 **Friday, August 29th:  That’s a wrap!  We will end our first week of school with a district wide pep rally today so bring on your Spartan Spirit!!  We will continue with our Spelling, Grammar, Reading, and Math lessons.   We will not have written homework, however students will be getting their Friday Folders.  Please review materials and sign and return any forms.  Thank you and I hope your child had a great first week of 3rd grade!  :-)
