WEEK OF: May 18th - 22nd, 2015

Our Field Trip is scheduled for this week.  Students need to be at school by 7:45 on Thursday; May 21st.  We will be returning home in time for afternoon dismissal.

 

3rd grade picnic will be Friday :)

 

**Reading-   Our new story is called Rocks in His Head. This story is an example of a Biography.  The skill we are working on will be Fact and Opinion.

**Spelling –Our new spelling list consists of words with the prefixes PRE-, MID-, OVER-, or OUT-. We took our PreTest on Friday and the Final Test will be on Wednesday 5/20.

 **Grammar –Our new topic next week will be Capitalization.  We will be reviewing Capital Letters and when to use them.  We will have a Quiz on Friday, 5/22.   

**Math –Topic 16 is DATA.  We will be working on Line Plots and Bar Graphs. We will take the Test on Friday, 5/22. Continue to practice multiplication/division facts because we will continue to time facts daily.

Congratulations to EMILEE SLOTCAVAGE for being named "Citizen of the Month" in Mrs. Laudeman's Third Grade Class for the month of April.  Emilee is a sweet, kind, and outgoing girl.  She is a great example for others both in and out of our classroom.  Emilee portrays many qualities of a good citizen.  She is a hard worker, determined, and always participates in class.  Emilee is always trying to help others and has been a wonderful friend to her classmates.  Congratulation Emilee ~ Keep up the good work!
