**Reading — We will continue working on the story Pushing Up The Sky next week.  We are working on skills and practicing play parts to be asle to perform for other classes within the school.   The Vocab/Story test will be on Wed. 2/ 25 and the Skills Test will be on Thursday 2/26. 

**Spelling/Grammar – We will be focusing our time next week on reviewing skills in our PSSA prep books.

**Math –  We will be finishing up with Topic 12 on Monday with a problem solving lesson.  We will review Time on Tues. and take the Topic 12 Test on Wed. 2/25. Continue to review multiplication facts as timed tests will continue. 

**Science— We were supposed to be observing the life cycle of a mealworm and its metamorphosis into a beetle, but I guess the cold weather has gotten to them and we haven’t seen any changes yet.  Hopefully they will survive the frigid temperatures and something will happen next week.  We will be reviewing Chapter 4 all week and take the Test on Friday 2/27.

What would you do if you were trapped in a Snow Globe? (Hall Way Writing)

 

**Reading — We will be working on our story called Pushing Up the Sky next week  We will be discussing Story Elements such as Character, Setting and Plot and working on Inferring as well.  Please practice y our play parts. 

**Spelling – Our new list will be made up of words with the Prefixes un-, re-, mis-, and dis-.  We will take the Final Test on Wed. 2/18.

**Grammar – Our focus is on Main and Helping Verbs in Grammar. We will be Testing on Friday 2/20.    

 **Math – Next week we will be reviewing telling time to the half hour, quarter hour, and minute as well as working on the lessons of units of time and elapsed time.  Please continue to work on Multiplication Facts.  Remember Memorization is the Key!!!   

 **Science— Life cycle Projects were due Thursday.  We will be reviewing this Chapter on Living Things next week as well as sharing our Life Cycle projects.  The Test on this Chapter will be the following week.
