WEEK OF: April 1st - 5th, 2013

Reading

During Reading and Spelling for the next week we will continue spending time working in our PSSA Reading Books.  We will continue to work on skills that have been presented in our Reading Series such as Drawing Conclusions; Generalizations; Fact/Opinion; Compare/Contrast; and Genre. We will also be focusing on answering Open Ended Questions about various passages we will read. 

 

Math

In Math we will be working on lessons 104-105-2.  On Thursday, we will have a quiz on our X4 facts. We will have a 100 Multiplication Fact Assessment and Written test on Friday. We will also spend time review topics covered in our PSSA Math Books. Keep practicing Times Tables and basic addition/subtraction facts. 

 

 

***Fieldtrip permission slips are coming home on Friday.  Please complete form and return it as soon as possible.  Any student that does not return their permission slip will be unable to attend the fieldtrip. Our fieldtrip is April 23^rd and we will visit the Whitaker Science Center in Harrisburg, PA.

 

*** PSSA Testing will take place next week.  Please see note in your child’s Friday folder.
