WEEK OF: November 4th - 8th, 2013

* In Grammar, we are focusing on “Singular and Plural Nouns”.  A singular noun names one person, place, or thing.  A plural noun names more than one person, place, or thing.  We will have a Grammar test on Friday 11/8.

 

* In Reading, we are reading the story “A Day’s Work”. This story is an example of Realistic Fiction.  Our Reading Skills for this week will be Character / Character traits, using context clues when discovering new words as well as Visualization. You can listen to our story at:

*In Spelling we are working on words with the syllable pattern C+le.  Our list words are: uncle, middle, trouble, example, muscle, gentle, people, handle, poodle, saddle, juggle, riddle, pickle, table, throttle, little, simple, obstacle, miracle, and noodle. *In Math, we will finish up Topic 3 concepts.  We will have a Subtracting 3 digit number quiz on Wednesday and Topic 3 test on Friday.   

 

* In Science, we will continue Investigation 3 (Water Vapor) experiments.
