o The subject and the verb in a sentence must work together or “agree”. To make present tense verbs agree with a singular subject or he, she, and it – add –s to the end of the verb. If a subject is a plural noun or I, you, we, or they – the verb should not end in an –s.
Example:
· A snake slithers through the grass. (singular noun)
· More snakes slither through the grass. (plural noun)
