WEEK OF: January 9th - 13th, 2012

We will be taking our reading test for “The Gardener” on Tuesday of this week.  We will begin our new story “Pushing Up the Sky” on Wednesday of this week.

We will be having our Grammar test on on Action and linking verbs on Tuesday.  An action verb shows action or shows what someone does (run, jump, and kicks). A linking verb tells what someone or something is (am, is, are, was, were)

Our next Grammar unit conentrates on Main and Helping verbs. The main verb shows action.  The helping verb shows the time of the action.
